Smith Glass replaced six aluminum frame windows, including two large patio sliding doors, with vinyl frame windows on the lower level of my property. The job was done in a timely manner but unfortunately the exterior vinyl siding was damaged during the course of this job. I immediately reported the problem to the person who had managed the job and he tried to find the necessary materials to repair the damaged siding panels. A few months passed and the search for the right materials did not lead anywhere because, as I could corroborate later, that particular type of siding is no longer available in the market. Hence, in frustration, I wrote to the company owner describing the situation and requesting a solution and, to my surprise, he replied very promptly and was clearly determined to solve the problem. After consulting with the project manager and evaluating their options, he decided to present a claim to the company's insurance carrier. The case was handled very expeditiously thanks to his intervention on my behalf. Because a partial repair of the damaged siding was not possible, I was awarded the total costs of replacing the entire siding of the house with new materials based on a job bid presented by a company of my choice. The way in which my case was handled indicates a strong commitment by Smith Glass to the satisfaction of its customers. Its staff reassured me that the company was going to take care of the damage siding and they delivered on that promise. After such an experience, I would not doubt in hiring Smith Glass in the future. Mistakes and accidents are common occurrence in house remodeling jobs, but the responsible attitude shown by this company is a very rare and extremely valuable asset to anyone looking to hire a company for glass and/or window installation work. Smith Glass is a friendly local business providing quality customer service to the community. We recently had to replace a piece of glass in an old window of our home after an attempted break in and the owner of this company was most helpful. He cut a piece to fit perfectly and even gave us easy points to install the window with. Didn't charge us for a thing as the glass he cut was apparently a scrap. Simply said "Merry Christmas from Smith Glass". Thank you so much Smith Glass! Our home is once again secure.
