“Very professional. Great service and quick response. Cleared 2 blocked toilets back to back within an hour. Put me immediately at ease vs other plumber that came out. Total charge under $250.00. A plumbing company I had out earlier that day would charge $275.00 just to lift the toilet. Another $350.00/hour to run a camera down the drain if needed. Stated that there was not enough room to run a snake in the full height basement with a drain cleanout installed in a tight space next to a hot water tank. The layout was designed as part of the original building plans and building code. I could certainly run a snake through the outlet. Then he went on to say he thought because two toilets were plugged that the blockage was probably between the toilets and the street. The cost could run up to $1,000 or more. I asked him to leave that I would get another opinion and estimate. We were under pressure to have the drains fixed. I felt like he was feeling me out as to prices. Emergency or not, I will have to be sure to ask about pricing before hand. But, I will always call American Rooter first.“
