“On May 7th, I had an appointment with my primary care physician. I told her I had been feeling constantly tired and struggled to wake up. She ordered a full blood panel and urine test, which revealed I had a bladder infection. I started taking the prescribed antibiotics.
However, on May 15th, I began feeling dizzy and generally unwell. I went to an urgent care facility in Lebanon on May 18th, where the doctor diagnosed it as simply vertigo. I was instructed that if I didn't feel better within a couple of days, I should go to the emergency room.
Following that advice, I went to the ER on May 20th. The triage nurse was polite but made me feel dismissed. When I told her I didn't feel like myself and was dizzy, she replied that dizziness can last two weeks. I also informed her of my extreme fatigue, to which she responded that it was likely due to the Valium, unaware that I had felt this way before starting the medication.
After a long wait in the ER, I was eventually seen by Dr. Klotz. Based on my symptoms, he ordered a series of MRI scans. These tests ultimately determined that I am dealing with an issue related to my Arnold-Chiari malformation. I am grateful to Dr. Klotz for taking the time to listen to me and take my concerns seriously, unlike previous healthcare providers who had done the bare minimum and didn't really listen to me much.“
“Always friendly staff, knowledgeable care, clean hospital and short wait. Constant turnover of doctors is a problem though.“
