“I have been going to this salon since 2021, I was in search of a Salon close to me and I found Family hair and Nails studio, convenient, close, clean, the service is excellent, the atmosphere is pleasant and accommodating. I get a manicure, pedicure as well as my eyebrows waxed and cleaned up, my beard shaped up and trimmed and while you’re getting your pedicure you sit in the massage chair which brings the experience to the next level, you should definitely check them out you deserve to be pampered and they will do just that, I have recommended them to co-workers and friends and so far we are all happy with this service?????“

“I am blown away in the best way possible by Rebecca. I had a bad experience with another MUA for a bridal trial, and I was super worried I wouldn't be able to find a MUA for my upcoming wedding.

I contacted Rebecca, who was responsive right away, was super lovely, accepted my request for a phone call where I could ask her questions, and booked my bridal trial with her. She was super lovely, taking the time to understand my wants, and asked me for inspiration looks so she can really grasp what I wanted to look like for my special day. Of course I had to book her for my wedding!

The other thing I really love about her talent is that she is able to give you an almost air-brushed makeup look, and she doesn't have a heavy hand, which is super important! I was able to feel my skin, and never felt cakey.

During the whole process she was super organized, creating a makeup chart for me during our bridal trial so the day-of would go smoothly. She was punctual (arriving earlier for set up than her original ETA which was fantastic), responsible, compassionate, and the funniest story teller.

The makeup she did for me during our trial was exactly what I got for my wedding day (see photos of trial and day-of). Rebecca also made sure to shimmer me up in my dress before I went off to do my first look. I truly couldn't have picked a better person to do my makeup, and I am hoping to work with her again in the future ?“

“I was looking for a new stylist to do my hair, the person I went to for years retired. I remembered a friend from school had a family run salon. I booked an appointment and saw that there was also laser hair removal present!! I had been meaning to do it for a while and went ahead. Shirley the owner and operator of Scarlett laser is GREAT! She's professional, explains things so easily and made me feel so at ease with every treatment. She's so knowledgeable!! I had been told years ago that I wasn't a candidate for laser but Shirley set me straight - she explained it wonderfully. Like a true professional she's up to date with the practices and technology. I also started to do my hair with Pilar. She's a wonderful woman - and great not only on style but colour too!! I hadn't been to a stylist in years and I asked her to suggest a cut and colour. You can tell she takes pride in her work. It's not only experience it's talent and great eye for style that cannot be learned - you either have it or you don't. Recently my grandma died and for years my mother had gone to the same stylist for years when I finally convinced her to give Pilar a try. Once Pilar was done with mom's hair - I saw mom actually look at herself in the mirror and smile ? For years I hadn't seen her like that. She was admiring her new cut for days she said she "Felt like a new woman". Suffice it to say Pilar made another lifetime client that day ❤ I highly recommend both businesses.“
