I called Waterloo Appliance to fix a leaky freezer. The technician arrived at the appointment, spent about half an hour, and claimed to have resolved the problem. The total cost for the service call was $145.77. A few hours later, the problem returned. The technician returned and found that he had missed the original problem. Waterloo Appliance subsequently charged me an additional $155.94. I spoke with Andrew, the service manager on duty, and explained that this second fee felt excessive, since the technician had missed the problem the first time he visited. Andrew stated that he thought this was a fair charge. Ultimately, I payed $300 for a technician to pour hot water down a clogged drain.
I have been using this service for over 10 + years, I have an older model danby portable a/c that I have brought in to clean about every 2-3 years. The portable a/c is now 21 yrs old and still going strong and all I had to do was replace the exhaust hose this year. So yes I'm quite happy with this company and service. ?Services: Portable A/C services
Not only did they have the part for my 15 year old Bosch Next 500 series washing machine at a decent price and also double-checked with me that it was correct (drain pump), the amazing repair/parts guy Andrew also walked me through a next-day self-repair of my Bosch machine that was still leaking. I identified it as the door gasket ... he explained over the phone about the actual door *glass* slowly accumulating a build up of calcium over the years and to make sure the glass was smooth all the way around. Sure enough, finger test revealed grit build up on the bottom of the glass breaking the seal enough to allow water to leak from bottom front and along front panel. Two minute fix with a dish pad and all good to go. Friendly, good service, helpful, knowledgeable. Five stars from me.
