I am away from home for a time. My cleaner discovered a leak from the toilet (thankfully it did not cause any flooding). I was apprehensive about trying to get this fixed from a distance but, because I had used Shanks Plumbing before, I sent a message explaining my situation. In the office, Jason and Mark were both helpful and Eric arrived today, discovered that - as we kind of expected - he couldn't fix the 20-year old no-brand toilet, so he supplied and installed a new toilet. To save me a second service call, he had brought the desired replacement with him. Excellent, professional, and thoughtful service. Came home to a burst pipe after a weekend away and Eric was on site before the emergency restoration crew. He had the pipe repaired in no time . But what I found really valuable was his insight and advice on how to avoid another freeze. He was able to show me where to add more insulation and then had a look at the other walls to see if they needed some attention as well. Thank you so much!
