I first went to Robert Ashley when he first set up in the St. Clair West neighbourhood at Arlington Ave. in the mid-1980's. Robert was a wonderful hair stylist now and many years later, Robert "Ash" still is. I had a friend cut my hair forndecades which is now fine and thinning, and when she moved out of Toronto, I had feelings of panic about finding another hair stylist so I decided to give Robert a call. For people who have hair "issues" or ptsd in the past with stylists who do not listen or are not observant in the lifestyle of the client ( e.g., no hair products or blowdrying, choosing a new hairstylist can be daunting. Robert takes the time to ask you what you want, how much to trim off etc. so that you go not leave his shop with a hairhelmet only to race home to wash it all off ! His shop is a neighbourhood hub of our community and his clients range from young children all the way up the the most senior folks.
I have been coming here for years and have recommended friends and family do the same. They have all come back happy! Friendly relaxed atmosphere, great conversation and reasonable prices with beautiful results. Highly recommend!!!
