I am a typical bank customer trying to stay afloat and the branch I deal with at Yonge and St. Clair sent me an email today to notify that my chequing balance has slipped below $100 which is odd because never did Ì promise to keep it above $100 nor was I asked to. However my balance, due to their monthly fee, has resulted in my balance now at below zero, or, in overdraft, to which the purpose of their email/letter is to inform me I am now a "dishonoured" customer. This is a first for me, one of the mega-rich Canadian banks suggesting I am dishonourable. I am not kidding. Goodbye CIBC!
