$16 is a colluded price fix for this area. It is still cheaper than many of the other hair salons that are charging $20+, but if you venture east into Scarborough its $12 for a men's cut. Expect a basic hair cut with not too much attention to detail or direction to what you want.
Reasonably good cut at a good price, March 2023 is $16 for a man's cut and $45 for cut and colour (businessman's brown color, probably higher for the fancy colors the young people like). I started coming here over 5 years ago when I got tired of the high prices of shopping malls. If you are getting married on the next weekend then go somewhere fancy, otherwise this is good enough. Cutters always seem to be Chinese, often with only basic English. Remember it is CASH ONLY.
My haircut was less than 10 minutes but another person of the opposite gender was there longer than me and their service was half the cost of mine just because my hair is long and theirs is short.Fast service. Not busy so easy to fit clients in on short notice.
