Make It Green Garden Centre offers a good selection of plants, knowledgeable staff, and a variety of garden gear and gift items. The centre has a great team, easy navigation, and average prices. While the shop can be cluttered, the staff is helpful when approached, making it a popular destination for those who know what they're looking for. Visitors appreciate the good selection of plants and trees, as well as the helpful and knowledgeable staff. However, some customers find the prices to be quite high, and there are occasional concerns about plants being root bound or unsold for years, with no refunds offered. The centre's hours are limited, and prices are significantly higher than other garden centres, which might make it less ideal for buying in quantity. Despite this, Make It Green remains a place where some hard-to-find plants can be found, making it worth visiting for specific needs.
This garden centre definitely has a good selection of plants and trees.The people who work there are quite knowledgeable.But the prices they charge are truly outrageous. You may get a gem. But also you have to watch out for plants that are seriously root bound as many plants remain there unsold for years (see photo of $49.99 hardy kiwi). And no return no refund.The bottom line: not a place to buy in quantity, but sometimes Make It Green the only place to find a plant you want. --- 3 stars.
I’m a seasoned gardener and I’ve visited all nature of plant nurseries and garden centres over the last 30 years. While the selection/plant quality is good, the prices are outrageous. I would defining recommend shopping elsewhere. FYI…Carp nursery is as good in terms of plant quality-health (not quite as big) and most definitely 30% cheaper.
Excellent quality and selection of perennial plants. An expert staff member provided helpful information and recommendations. We found everything we needed for our new garden bed, including fertilizer. I included a photo of the finished garden.
