I just found out that this city had a WW II Algerine-class minesweeper warship named the "HMCS Sault Ste. Marie" that would patrol and protect convoys. So that when she was decommissioned, her main front artillery gun was placed as a reminder of her service..... at the FRONT of the this museum!!! Our city was named on a world class minesweeper that I've past a million times as a civilian, to busy playing minesweeper on my phone to ever even notice!!! MIND BLOWN!!!
