I have nursing care from CBI. Most of the nurses are okay, a couple are really excellent, and a couple are (I'll be polite) not very good at all. Examples; not dressing wounds properly, so I had to get up at 3am to re-do what they were supposed to do, and causing pain. Also tonight is the second time that no-one has called to let me know when (or if) they will be here tomorrow. I'm getting fed up and depressed. Thank heavens I'll be finished with home nursing soon!

They don't set a schedule in advance, they don't call, they arbitrarily don't turn up and don't let you know before hand, or call to reschedule. Unreliable care is not care.

We are supposed to have psw's vising us 5 days a week. More often than not there is no phone call before arrival or non-appearance. I have a list of tasks written and posted by the door, impossible to miss unless you're trying, because the psw's that did show up had a tendency to just put eyes on my mother and then leave.The ones that show up and follow the care plan we worked out with our care coordinator are great and take a huge weight off my shoulders but they are few and far between.
