    I am a woman in her 50s, active daily for fun and fitness, and have been visiting this clinic for over 10 years, mainly for osteopathy with Richard Gregory, for a variety of sports injuries (i.e., inflamed hamstring attachment, meniscus and other knee and ITB issues, numbness in arms) and scoliosis. The scoliosis has been resolved after manual treatments and exercises and maintained through an ongoing stretching program. I no longer have any back pain, whatsoever.     I met with Richard Gregory at Ottawa Osteopathy & Sports Therapy through a referral from my sports doctor after 18 months without seeing any progress on a knee injury. I had a slightly torn meniscus - not bad enough to warrant major surgery, but enough to cause me daily discomfort and cause a number of adjacent issues.

    After a thorough 1-hour assessment with Richard, he explained the exact cause of my issues and what I needed to do in order to correct them.     I was referred to Ottawa Osteopathy by a friend who recommended Richard Gregory as an Osteopath who would really take the time to figure out exactly what was happening and what could be done to get me back to the active lifestyle I normally lead. Briefly, I had a herniated disc at L4/L5 18 years ago. After surgery I have had 18 years of normal activity (former PE teacher). After a trek in Nepal in 2023, two weeks after returning, I aggravated the lower back area again. It became so bad I was in the hospital for two days due to severe sciatic pain.
