The International Academy of Massage offers a Diploma Program in Massage Therapy, designed to help students develop the necessary skills and competencies to become Registered Massage Therapists (RMTs). The program follows a hybrid model, with live online classes for academics and theory, and in-person sessions for skills development at the Academy. The competency-based educational approach focuses on the real-world role and function of a massage therapist, ensuring graduates are prepared for success in this healthcare field. The program comprises 96.5 credits of academic and practical lab hours, covering theory, practical application, supervised clinical, and outreach sessions. Clients who have experienced the massage services provided by the Academy's students have been highly satisfied. One client described their masseuse, Megan, as a "consummate pro" who made them feel comfortable and left them feeling like a "happy little jellyfish." The client was impressed with the service and plans to utilize it again in the future. Another former student praised the program's support, including the opportunity to complete an additional R.Kin license, and the diverse knowledge and experience shared by the instructors, which they were able to implement in their own practice. The Academy's focus on providing students with hands-on learning opportunities to improve the quality of future massage therapists is highly recommended.
