Our funeral director, Bry, was very helpful during the process of arranging the viewing Service, funeral service and burial. She was able to answer our questions thoughfully and come up with suggestions that my family really appreciated.
It's never going to be easy to say good-bye to a loved one, let alone that the funeral arrangements have to be done while grieving. I have only good things to say about Philip Cheng, the Funeral Director at Highland Funeral Home - Markham Chapel. Philip was experienced, detailed, composed, patient, and most importantly, empathetic. These gifts enable him to not only work efficiently, but also comfort the families who just lost a precious family member. He made you feel that you're not alone; he listened; he comforted. Thank you for being a comforter in the most difficult time of life. Please continue to use your gifts to lift people up.
The service provided was excellent and we were treated with respect and empathy. We contacted the Home for assistance as my mother was out of province. The process was made seamless for us to transport her back to Markham and arrange the funeral. Thank you Sarah, Philip and the rest of staff at Highland Funeral Home.
