“My daughter booked an appointment for her prom on a Thursday not realizing Ryan was off that day. She was automatically put on a waitlist. The morning of her prom she came up to me and said mom I never got a confirmation. I panicked called and emailed. Ryan ended up returning my call. I think he panicked a little as well then took care of the situation. He quickly turned to the next solution which was recommending a different salon. Then he remembered his assistant Zee lived close by and she might be able to come over. She ended up calling me and we scheduled an appointment later that afternoon. Zee was amazingly helpful, she took care of my daughter not leaving one strand out place. Village Parlor took charge of what could have been a stressful day and turned it into the most beautiful day ever!!! Thank you and I will never forget what the 2 of you did. God bless you both!!!!“

“i love this place and the people who work here are lovely. i paid $300 to have my hair done and it looked beautiful but it didn’t look very similar to the picture i showed. no hate to anyone, it was a difficult hair style and it still ended up looking nice. i paid to get my hair toned a few days ago and i saw no difference in the color. the back of my hair was also wet still but i hate to be the person that complains so i didn’t say anything and i paid the $65 plus tip but i wish that for all the money i’ve put into my hair that it would look the way i wanted it to:(

“I live in Washington DC and often schedule visits to Dearborn-area family to coincide with the availabilty of Mary, hair stylist at this salon. Without exaggeration she consistently gives the best hair cut I have had anywhere (SF, NYC, DC, Chicago....the works!). She expertly layers thin hair like mine in a way that gives it body, such that for weeks afterwards I don't even have to set it. The compliments pour in for weeks after Mary has cut my hair. Friends want to jointly fly here in to do each of our haircuts, so if all you have to do is get in a car and drive a few miles, make an appointment for Mary to give you your next hair cut.“

Staff were friendly, and my nail tech was professional, pleasant, and did good work. I keep my mani & pedi's simple but she also waxed my eyebrows, which were amazing. Didn't have to ask her to adjust or correct. My eyebrows were done perfectly without any instruction from me. Appreciated her skills.“

“I've gone to see Patti a lot over the last 14 years since she was at a salon in the RenCen! She's been at Salon Detroit for a while. Trims are on point. With Black textured hair, it doesn't come out as straight as a silk press and style but you won't lose your curls due to heat either. Patti is so cool and personable!“
