Helmutz did a great job on our driveway, walkway and back flower bed. From assisting us with choosing the right brick to a very time efficient and tidy install. They worked hard at keeping the mess to a minimum while working and cleaned up wonderfully at the end of each day. We are thrilled with the finished product and would highly recommend Helmutz - we are already planning projects for them at the cottage:)
We hired Helmutz Landscape & Interlock to build us a retaining wall and walkway along the side of our driveway to the side door to the garage. From quote to completion, everyone we spoke to or dealt with were very professional and friendly. Frank was great when he came to do the initial quote and offered some suggestions as we didn't have a clue what we wanted. Because this was the first company we called, we wanted other quotes to compare. We called Frank back about a month later and booked our install. He was right in line with the other quotes, but he was the only one to take the time to offer suggestions and explain how things work. We appreciated his honesty and knowledge. When the crew showed up on installation day, they knocked on the door and told us they were here. There were three guys for our job. I was amazed how quickly things took place. The side yard was dug out and the retaining wall was started all in the first day. That night the area was completely cleaned up and looked good. The next day they arrived right on time again and by the end of the day they were done the entire job. Our property was cleaned up very nicely and we were so impressed with the Foreman James and the other two employees: James and Jeff. They were a great crew who worked well together. They knew what the other was doing and what was needed and when. Safety is first and that is evident in how careful they are when handling materials and machinery. It's nice to see a crew who respect each other. (Thanks guys for putting up with all my picture taking of your progress the last two days - you're troopers ;) ) We love our new walkway and would definitely hire Helmutz and ask for the same crew in the future. Amendment: less than 4 years later... our retaining wall is falling apart. Now Helmutzs wants to charge us $1200-$1500 to fix their mistake. #unacceptable
