“Edit: The owner said the gem is aquamarine. It has a green tone when viewed at a different angle with a direct and bright light source. I know for the price I can't expect much nor be too obsessed. I just hope it is not glass, plastic or cubic zirconia. May have to bribe somebody with it. Real zircon is fine.
(see photo) It is really small, difficult to inspect without scientific tools. I liked the colour though, I work with glass and synthetic zircon beads, their colours tend to be a bit off, especially inconsistent from batch to batch. It may be hard in the manufacturing process to make the exact colour. High immitation may not worth the effort.
Purchased the stud (see arrow) for 75 before tax. 10k gold with topaz. I can confirm the stud is really made of gold, not gold-plated. I cannot know the purity of gold nor whether the gemstone is not zircon. It seems the store has been around for a while. Although in this degenerate world, most people are far from trust worthy, $75 is probably the best price. and worth a bet... Hudson's bay sells 10k studs with smallers saphires for about $160 on black friday after all the discounts, People's have lab made gem studs for $145 (gold), $50 (silver). Over priced for so-called designer jewellery. This store gave me a humble and honest feel. Seriously will recommend to friends.“
