No respect for appointment of counsel. It's every Canadians right to hire a lawyer, sometimes the banks think they're above the law. Let me lay this out for you: you have a baby, lose 70% of your income. You're paying over 30% interest on a loan and the minimum payments are unmanageable. You borrow money and try to repay the majority of your debt in one payment, but Fairstone wants every last penny of interest. When your lawyer calls them to try to talk about it they tell them they don't have to talk about it. There's just no compassion. Don't borrow money from this institution.

Absolute garbage people garbage service I’ve never been so appalled by the unprofessionalism of a company before in my life I was looking forward to the birth of a new business venture but apparently independence isn’t something they support

I knew going into this it would be high interest and I would be paying back 3x the loan amount if I didn’t pay off sooner. But when you’re in a bad situation you do what you need to. However that isn’t even the issue. The people I have dealt with at the Hawkesbury branch and over the phone have been rude and condescending. I asked multiple times to have the extra insurance taken off, and was very clear that I wanted all of them removed. Each time after asking they became rude and disconnected and started giving me attitude. I understand you will lose commissions, but that is still no reason to give that kind of attitude.
