I was passing through Havelock yesterday (February 20th, 2024), halfway on my journey to Caledon Ontario and needed the advice of a mechanic on a sound from the front of my truck that only appeared to surface in Marmora but was getting increasingly noisy.They took the time during what for most people is the lunch hour to test drive my truck and then jack up the front end before coming to the conclusion that one of my wheel bearings was on its way out.I was just looking for that little bit of extra information to help me make the decision to continue on in my journey, or to turn around and head back home to Ottawa, where my mechanic is. What a gem! We were driving from up North and noticed the tire pressure of our Acura dropping. We stopped at a service center in Havelock and waited for over an hour to have the tire looked at before we decided to seek help elsewhere.We drove over the tracks and were quickly greeted by the owner and crew.They determined that the tire was not repairable and also discovered that we didn’t have a spare ?♀️.Peterborough was the closest town for us to get a tire, so they plugged and patched us up. We were with them for over an hour and I expected to be charged FAR MORE than the $30 that he requested. Amazing service; helpful advice; quality patch job (pressure is... read full review
