I was having a fence replaced, and I let it be known that the posts had to go down 8 feet, below the frost line. Otherwise, they would twist again (making the gate jammed and unable to open or be used). Apparently, this was no problem (I have the email). When the time came, he did not do that (too many rocks or something), which left me with a 7k 'new' job that created the same problem. Get everything in a contract, and if he cannot do as promised, then look elsewhere.
