I wish I could rate this place off the charts.
I went to Dr Janice as a third opinion after seeing multiple regular vets who disregarded my concerns and were disrespectful.
Not only was the staff in general so warm and welcoming, but Dr Janice really knows her stuff. She went above and beyond to explain everything in detail to me, and suggest alternative medicine to help his healing. She treated me with respect and listened to my concerns and she was very gentle with Dexter! We will be switching over from our regular vet !
Really impressed with how knowledgeable, patient and caring the staff are! My Aussie can be really nervous for vet visits and they handled him beautifully, ignoring him at first and letting him sniff as well as using treats to make it a positive experience. They read his body language very well, let me hold him for the exam and gave us the best vet experience he’s had yet! We saw Dr. Jan as our agility trainer recommended and she was so calm, patient and sweet to my dog. We had some things to discuss regarding his vaccines and she was very level headed and open to discussion with kindness which can be very hard to find! I’m so glad we found the right vet! Our dear Beulah has been coming to essex animal hospital since she was 4 months old. She will be 14 soon and was just diagnosed with cancer. It was picked up on a spinal xray by Dr Jan and immediately an ultrasound was booked to find the primary cancer. Thanks to Dr Jan I have sometime to spend with my baby where this cancer is usually found in an autopsy. Thank you guys for finding it so quickly so I can give my girl so much more attention and love in her last good days!
