I am extremely disappointed with my experience as a homeowner with The Remington Group. Based on their reputation, I expected professionalism and quality craftsmanship — unfortunately, what I received was the complete opposite. If you are considering purchasing from this builder, I would avoid unless you're desperate.
They pushed closing back almost to the very end and closed the home before they needed to pay penalties. They clearly had timeline problems and rushed to finish the job as our PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection) alone resulted in over four pages of deficiencies, many related to basic workmanship that should never have passed quality control. We purchased a condo from Brad Remington homes. Though the interior is satisfactory - no issues after the first year, they surprised us with a few very unpleasant surprises. First, they assured us that the balconies had glass barriers. Upon finish, they used metal railings. We triple confirmed in advance and they categorically assured us the railing barriers on the balconies would be glass - exactly as on their brochures and as a similar build in Sage Hill. I have concerns about the construction quality, as it has led to delays in various aspects of the project. There seem to be several deficiencies in the houses, and I've found the staff to be less accommodating than expected. While the sodding was completed on schedule, the driveways are still unfinished, yet there is pressure to close on the homes as planned. Based on my experience, I would advise potential buyers to carefully consider their options regarding this builder.
