We hired Marylyn Joel to provide her expertise for renovation of the interior of a 35 year old approximately 1700 sq. ft. ranch bungalow. The primary focus was a revision to the en-suite and main bathrooms on the main floor but eventually included the family room and kitchen on the main floor and a bedroom in the basement. In the end the bathrooms on the main floor were totally redone, the fireplace and floor in the family room and kitchen were updated, the trim, doors , window coverings and lighting were upgraded throughout the main floor and the second bedroom was built in the basement. Marylyn redesigned our kitchen recently. She came up with some awesome design ideas that we would never have thought of that were really amazing for our space. Her attention to details and her perfectionist approach are outstanding. Marylyn is able to carve out inches of your space to make it as functional as possible. Her attention to electrical and lighting details do make a huge difference in the end. If you need someone to oversee the trades she is able to offer that service as well or she can just to the design work for you.

I have been working with Marylyn Joel as her lighting consultant over 20 years, during that time I can honestly say that Marylyn is not just a skilled designer with tremendous vision, she can manage a project from the ground up.
