My 8yo Shepherd Lab had her knee repaired by Dr. Lapensée in late November and she's almost 100% back to normal now, well ahead of schedule, but we're still taking things easy. By far the best physical exam (pre-op) I've ever seen conducted on any of my pets. My dog was stretched, bent and twisted to ensure all her other joints were in good shape and I was very impressed by the thoroughness of this exam. I got a surgery date quickly, given they appear to be a very busy clinic (I'm from out of town / Ottawa) and I was very pleased with professionalism of clinic, staff, post op. care instructions as well as appt. for suture removal. Have been using this vet for a couple of years now. It’s quite a drive away but totally worth it. It sometimes takes a bit to get ahold of someone over the phone but they are quick to return my call when they are available. The staff are super friendly and Dr. Lapensée is always happy to answer any questions or concerns I have. I had my female GSD spayed here and they repaired her umbilical hernia at the same time. She recovered very well and I was super happy with her care. Very reasonable pricing too.
