“I bought a prom dress from Sophie’s Gown Shoppe 7yrs ago but due to covid I was didn’t get a Prom and as a result, I didn’t have it altered. I contacted Virginia upon their recommendation just a week prior to needing the dress for an event (finally!) and she had the dress hemmed and new straps made for me 3 days before the event. She was quick without sacrificing quality. Not to mention she altered my dress the week of New Year’s! I couldn’t wipe the smile off my face finally seeing my prom dress on 7yrs after purchasing. I highly recommend Virginia for not only alterations but her wedding dress selection. She runs a beautiful bridal shop and shes a wonderful woman!“

“As a last ditch effort to "save" a designer black silk dress, I took it into K cleaners. I had stupidly washed the dress, which changed the feel and drape of the silk. There were also mysterious streaks on the dress. The dress was delivered in beautiful condition - streaks gone, and the silk feeling much softer and more like the original. The employee had not guaranteed the work, and was especially concerned about the streaks, which she thought could be a permanent change in colour. I may have been lucky, but I highly recommend this company.“
