“I posted on Homestars early Friday morning and was stunned to get a call back so quickly from anyone.
A couple of things set this calll apart from the others. First off, Tony was willing to make time in the following few hours and he had Whatsapp which allowed me to send video of the situation. Once he saw the problem, he emailed a time to meet. I asked that he give me some time to get to the location, which he did.
We got to the site with the issue and he quickly diagnosed the problem. Called the parts supplier to see if he could get the part (it would take several weeks). He then came up with a solution and gave me advice on how to handle it the next.
Went back today and there was no leak.

“Can't really say much about the negative reviews, these guys were great for me.

I (like you) always check reviews carefully, there's probably some that are legitimately negative but I think at least some are the people using the measuring tape.

I ordered the pleatmate frame and some replacement filters to replace my useless Carrier EAC cells, I got them 4 days later.

The quality of the frame seems good. I had to push on it a bit to fit, but it does. The removable wire frame looks a little curved, to help retain it in the frame. It has good tension.

For what it is, it's sturdy.

I didn't have to figure out a new filter rack or buy expensive oddball EAC specific filters, although I did see them on the site.

I'm happy enough to post a review. I like what I got for the money. Great, cost effective solution to the EAC problem.

I don't have a way to check for pressure drop but the fan doesn't seem like it's working any harder than it was with a janky fiberglass filter.

These guys might be ruthless on their return policy, but it's posted on their site. Measure carefully.“
