We purchased a 15 year old Hilden Home in Antonia heights in December of 2022. It’s March 2023 and we are putting a new roof on , which is fine as they usually last 15 years or so. What was not fine , was finding that the original shingles were nailed directly onto the Aspenite , with no weather proofing underneath. That’s just poor craftsmanship & cheap! Future buyers beware.

We purchased a Hilden built home from originally purchasers, two years old.Inside materials used for flooring, cheapest quality. Staple left under the laminate flooring, terrible job.Windows frost up at the bottom, again poor quality.Home sounds like it is going to fall apart during windy days.Had to chalk all the stone where it meets the facia, to prevent hornets and bats from entry points. The facia was put on last, after the stone. This should have been reversed, and there wouldn't have all the large entry points.If your thinking of purchasing a Hilden home you might want to consider the quality of materials and the workmanship, before you do.Mike
