“We had MaKenady Construction renovate the main floor of our home by removing a load bearing wall and replacing it with a recessed beam.To accomplish this, they had to reroute HVAC supply and cold air return lines, plumbing water supply lines, plumbing drain lines and vents and of course electrical. “In July 2025, my husband and I decided that we needed to replace our original 38-year-old pool liner as it had started to develop a few small tears. We also needed a new pool deck as I was tired of fixing all the concrete deterioration along the edges of where the deck met the pool edges. I tried several times to contact the original builder by phone and in person. I was told each time that someone would call or come by my house to see the pool. After 2 weeks, I gave up and contacted Colonial Pools in Ajax after reading their reviews online. I left a message for the owner, Michelle. She returned my call within 3 hours and had the team out to see the pool the next day. My husband and I then met with Michelle, who was very professional, answering all questions and concerns. 2 days later we signed a contract to replace the liner, coping, skimmer and piping. She sent George to come to see me about pouring a new deck. All was set and the plan was to do the work in mid September. But, realizing that the concrete had to age for 30 days for the new winter safety cover to be installed the date was moved up to mid August. I was amazed how easily that took place. Each step of the work was explained. I was always notified when each team would arrive. Adam and his team were patient, respectful, and professional delivering their work with a smile and a laugh as they removed the liner, put on the new coping and installed the new piping and skimmer. Everyone always took the time to answer my many questions. George and his construction team were respectful in protecting my house brick work and the hill that we share with a neighbour as they went up and down many times. They never complained about the hill. The new poured concrete deck was well done.
The cost of the pool and deck met our budget. The teams were polite and great to work with, hopefully, enjoying the homemade cookies and Gatorade.
We now have a beautiful new pool and deck. The grass is growing. The end result is fantastic!! I would highly recommend Michelle and her team.

From demolition to tiny details which were overseen and implemented, Holly’s workmanship (workwomanship ?), proved to be impeccably perfect - concluding with her inspection and a smile - stating that the job was complete.
