Our son has been attending ATA for a couple of months now and we love it! He really enjoys each class! He has learned a lot already and has fun doing so!! He has many new friends and the instructor is amazing with children! Really gets/keeps them motivated!!*And to those complaining about money... it's a business so... like anything & everything else it takes money to operate. We have never been pressured to buy anything extra than what is used in every single class.Come to class and see for yourself... it's a great place!

Master Gavilan blends serious instruction with lighthearted enthusiasm that is only possible because he genuinely likes kids. We have loved watching our son enjoy all of his classes. Additionally, I greatly appreciate the discipline and diligence in which he requires his students to operate. These qualities are emphasized in all behaviors, from waiting quietly and patiently to acting with urgency and respect. This carries over to home and school. This is a financial commitment, no doubt about it. We have found the reward worthy of the cost.

My husband and I just started a 6 month journey with Dynamic ATA. You can start out with two classes and a free uniform for $19/person. He offers American Taekwando Association classes for children and adults. These are the traditional classes that teach technique and also have a cardio component. The adult class has some teenagers in it, but also adults of all ages. You get paired with an opponent of the same gender and height. It is held 6:30 tuesday/Thursday. Krav maga self defense classes start at 7:30 after the traditional martial arts. This class is a more heavy workout and focuses on self defense instead of martial arts techniques. The classes aren't training people to pick a fight or win every battle. You learn how to distract your opponent and control the situation to be able to escape. The classes are taught by Master Gustavo Gavilan. He's excellent. The best part is the community aspect. We were immediately embraced by the class. There is constant positive reinforcement. I never got this kind of encouragement from the treadmill.
