I have been building and repairing my own computers for over 40 years. In 2012, I built a computer using mostly components I purchased from Wholesale Computer Supply, In August of 2014, I put the computer in a small law office to use as a file server, it's been running non-stop since. The office is in an old 2-story building, 2nd floor and is cooled by a window unit, the last couple of summers, we've had a problem with the computer overheating and shutting down. This summer it was just too much for it, we tried cooling it with fans, keeping the window unit on 60 degrees and it still overheated. At 71, I really don't want to repair computers anymore, so we took it to Wholesale Computer for help, first thing, they installed a new CPU fan to see if that would be enough, no charge. Didn't work, so, I decided to talk to them about an internal cooling system, they gave me a quote, I called another computer repair shop to see what they would charge, just curious, the first thing they said was "Why don't you just junk it and buy a new computer". I told them I didn't want to do that, they quoted me a price almost double what Wholesale Computer had quoted, no one at Wholesale Computer ever once suggested I junk it and buy a new one. When they started to install the cooling system, they discovered the old case would not accommodate the numerous fans needed. They transferred all the components, with the exception of two DVD drives which I no longer used anyway, to a new case. With all they did, including parts and labor, it still cost less than a new computer that would have been as powerful and reliable as this one. We've had the computer back for over 10 days, it's been running non-stop, temperature has stayed consistent. We lost no data, it's like using the same computer, which is exactly what we wanted. Travon and Sherri (I hope I correctly spelled their names) and the rest of the employees were incredible, they worked fast, they knew we needed the computer back as quick as possible. I would recommend these guys above anyone else I have ever dealt with, and there's been a lot of them. And if we ever need a new computer, we won't buy it anywhere else.
