Going to the dentist is not something any of us look forward to, but it's something we all have to do if we want to keep our teeth. Dan and I are very pleased with Southern Pointe. We found them by accident. The dentist we had been going to retired and Dr. Pittman took over his office. We are very pleased with Dr. Pittman and his staff. Since we retired, we have had difficulty finding good dental insurance. Southern Pointe has their own plan that they sold us. It's saved us money and it's a convenient package. Today, my hygienist was Sue Ann. She gave me a very thorough cleaning. She was professional and friendly. Most important, she was gentle without sacrificing the quality of the cleaning. She kept me informed about what she was doing and frequently asked if I was okay or if she was hurting me. The office is just off 91st and easy to get to. There's plenty of parking. Since I have to go to a dentist twice a year, I'm glad I've found a good one.
My hygenist Amy was phenomenal. She impressed me with her kindness and respect even more than with the state of the art technology. The dentist was kind and knowledgeable, too, and I would go back to see them.
How about a refreshing Spa Day - at the dentist!? Ok, close your eyes real tight and imagine the metallic sound of a drill grinding into your teeth. Scratch that. Ok, now close your eyes real tight and imagine a cool sip of sparkling water, a relaxing massage with the pretty Glee gang dancing on Hulu TV while you're reclining and waiting for...wait for it -- your dentist! We've come a long way Dr. Tim Whatley!! So, I'm not a dental aficionado, but what I am, is an expert on comfort in an often uncomfortable setting. That's where "Refresh Dentistry's" masterful architect of this experience, Dr. John Rogers, gets it right. Maybe I'm stuck in a "Whatley" Seinfield episode, but I can't remember the last time I sat in a fab waiting area with Pellegrino in the fridge, green tea K-Cups & magazines I actually read while I'm Gleeking out to a huge LED TV. There really is a massaging, reclining dental chair. (That's fab too) And, you really can watch TV while you're getting an education on your chompers. And, did I mention the swag, it comes in a pretty blue bag with sugar free treats. Now, that's refreshing! I'm Russ Kirkpatrick and I support my community.
