Salon Essentials opened on the west side of Main St behind J. Boties sometime in the late 90's or early 00's and it hasn't changed much since then. Despite it being a little outdated, it is a busy salon and for good reason. They have some of the best talent when it comes to hair and they are one of the few last standing full-service salons that has nail techs offering services. I was having difficulty getting my nails done the way I like them and I am so glad I found Carla McKinney because not only does she charge less, she is available and ready to go during the time of my appointment. I love that she is willing to try all sorts of things and is hip on trends.

Been going here for 20 years. Jo is the best nail tech, very knowledgeable. She was able to save a toe nail that had been injured. Tracey Brown is the only person who has been able to figure out what to do with my crazy hair. Everyone is so friendly. It's a family atmosphere
