Do not take your pet here. I brought my small dog in because of a cough. The vet wanted to take x-rays, ($319.00) before doing anything about his cough. I just got the medical records and it reads, "No problems according to the owner." Again, the reason for the appointment was that he had a cough and she wouldn't do anything without X-rays. You can't see a soar throat or reason for a cough, except for throat cancer, with an x-ray! The vet let my dog leave with a soar throat. I have 2 other small dogs at home. They would not schedule back-to-back appointments for all 3 dogs. I took my small dogs to a different vet and all three had soar throats. They had to be treated at the same time. The vet at Austintown Vet Clinic failed miserably.
If you come hear bring a Brinks truck. He was having some minor issues that we just wanted to get checked out to be on the safe side. They wanted to do blood work and a urine sample. I brought a urine sample, but they said they wanted to take there own. Can you say ch ching. They found absolutely nothing and changed me over $400. I now go to Ebert's, and I have never paid over $200. Austintown Veterinary will rob you blind.
Trash. My family has been going to this vet clinic for over 15 years. It has not been the same since Dr. Greer left. So many amazing physicians have left that place leaving only one Doctor. She's completely unprofessional and only cares about getting a paycheck. So if you want to take your beloved furry family member somewhere where they care if they live or die, then DONT take them here. Just speaking the truth and hopefully it will save an animal's life.
