I was self taught for 4 years before taking lessons with Travis and thought I was pretty good. Let’s just say I was quickly humbled after taking lessons with Travis. He’s a great teacher, very patient, and has a wealth of knowledge to share. Technique, speed, music theory, rhythm, etc are all areas he will help you level up.
Osterloh Guitar Academy has been exactly what I was searching for when I decided to take the time to improve my abilities. I learned how to play guitar over twenty years ago, picking up on tabs, writing here and there, and being relatively proficient (or so I thought). I knew though that in order to get beyond my ability to repeat what others create and improve my skills, I needed to discard bad habits and dive deep into music theory. From day one, Travis has made it his priority to make sure my learning experience has been thorough and fundamental. The learning method he uses expertly builds on itself each week, while covering a wide range of topics. On top of a fantastic teaching style, Travis offers a wide range of workshops and events for his students. You can tell that he is truly passionate about what he does, which creates an incredible environment for guitar players of all skill levels and interests. I cannot recommend OGA enough!
