Avoid at all costs. ER is the worst in Ohio! Sat in ER overnight. Watch others who came after me get helped. After spending the night in the waiting room and not being seen accept to shove a iv in me to take blood. I called the nursing supervisor and complained. That took 3 calls and finally took the IV out and I left. Went to Hillcrest and was see within an hour. Lake death has not changed since UH took over. A friend's grandma died in the waiting room waiting to be seen. Stay away!
For emergency room:I was made fun of by a tech for having stomach pain like I'd come to the emergency room just for full stomach pain. In reality it's really bad. He said to me mockingly, "So you came to the emergency room just for a tummy ache???" Then he shook his head saying that all these symptoms were listed but that they'd, "only be willing to focus on one symptom" and to "pick which symptom they'll treat because they can't do all that." He also openly complained to me that I put chest tightness down stating that it was, "annoying as we don't know any specifics."They didn't put my arm on anything to prop it up so they could stick the needle in to draw my blood so I had to hold up my arm straight so they could take it. Obviously when you're lightheaded that's not easy to stay still and it hurts more when your muscles are contracted. I had to hold the IV still so my skin didn't tear further. After it was drawn its been poking something else so I have to keep my arm really stilli as I think it's hitting a nerve and is popping out of my skin. The needle was put in diagonally and slowly was tearing my skin as my blood was drawn and since it wasn't held in place. Then they taped it diagonally so it's almost popping out of my skin. I also had to push around my iv bag on my own with wheels that barely work so it adds more pressure on my IV.They also put me in the waiting room with the iv still in me and gave me zero direction stating that, "We hope you don't have to come back." While waiting my IV hit a nerve and now my fingers are completely numb. I can't feel my fingers.Note I haven't said anything and have been really nice. They only seemed concerned about who was bringing in pizza for them.I'm regretting coming here.i feel way worse than when I arrived. I arrived feeling a bad 5/10 to now an 8/10 They also didn't wash their hands at all.
Thus hospital sucks! I went on 11/ 27/22. I got there at 9:15 am. When the nurse took my blood work in my hand( I have tiny veins), she stuck me hard, & said that she couldn't find a vein. They also did a cat scan.I just had a cat scan there 2 months ago, but they did another one. Another nurse took my blood later & gave me an IV. It hurt! Then, I had to wait in the waiting room again. Then, when they called me in again, the nurse said that my blood clotted, & she had to get it out through the IV. It hurt again. I said " Is there an easier way?" And she said, " I could poke you again." Then, they said that the cat scan showed that my appendix could be enlarged, & I might need surgery. Then, they said that my other tests were normal, & I didn't need another CAT Scan. Also, it's a Covid Hotspot. People in the waiting room weren't masks. Some of the nurses & doctors had their masks below their noses. The security guard didn't have a mask on. We were there 7 & a half hours! Also, my gastrointerologist got the ER report, & she said that it was just constipation & I definitely didn't need another CAT Scan. I do need a colonoscopy. Also, a guy was there before us, & he was coughing loud. When we left, they were just taking him back in a stretcher! Stay away from thus hoppital!
