About Horizon ATA Martial Arts
Horizon ATA Martial Arts offers a welcoming and structured environment for both children and adults. The calm, patient, and stern instructors, such as Mr. Coley and Mr. Manning, help students improve their focus, discipline, and learn more than just martial arts moves. The atmosphere is fun, and the instructors are excellent at their craft. The whole family can enjoy the respectful guidance and extra kindness, especially for children with special needs. The program has taught students to open up and find their voice. However, some students have recently felt discouraged due to class experiences, and the instructors' attitudes have varied. Mr. Coley and Mr. Manning are praised for their patience, clear explanations, and positive approach. They take the time to work one-on-one with students who are struggling. Unfortunately, Mr. Clemens has been reported to have a negative demeanor and an overly aggressive attitude, which has made the environment less welcoming.
At first I really enjoyed brining my kids to karate because it seemed like something they would enjoy however lately I find it a bit difficult because they are starting to lose interest and also feel discouraged due too class experiences. Coley and Manning are hands down the best instructors here! They have patience and explain the lesson clearly and respectfully to the students. Manning has a positive sense of humor and Coley encourages and respects each child’s abilities and takes children to the side to give them one on one time if they happen to be struggling with a move which I can appreciate. Coley puts his heart into helping children become their best selves unfortunately I can’t say the same for Clemens who recently has a negative demeanor and seems overly aggressive and annoyed by the kids. His attitude has changed completely since the day we started. That negative energy unwelcoming. I thought this was only me who felt this way however I spoke to another parent who pulled their child out of the program because of his bad energy. Please put some effort into improving on your socialization and communication skills with both parents and students that keep your business functioning.
My husband and I highly recommend Horizon ATA. Mr.Clemens and Mr.Coley have been great with our son. He has grown in his confidence, and self defense. We have seen such such a change. They take the time to invest in each student. If you let them know whar your child is struggling with confidence, bullies, etc they will take them to to address that in classes. Thank you for all the time you have and continue to invest into Nick.
Mr. Clemens and Mr. Coley are wonderful instructors and people. They are energetic, knowledgeable, kind, and encouraging. They make their classes fun and educational. We switched from another local studio and our son found a renewed love of the sport with Horizon ATA. Their professionalism is outstanding and you will not be disappointed with these two instructors. We highly recommend Horizon ATA and Mr. Clemens and Mr. Coley.
