“Bill and Lucy are a class act! From beginning to end, they’ve made the process of arranging plans to lay our loved one to rest with compassion, grace, professionalism, and expert level of care. I really appreciate their lighthearted approach that made my mom and I feel so at ease during this difficult time.Lucy took us in for a tour of the funeral home and provided us with a lot of information at a moments notice. Lucy is welcoming, funny, and made my mom and I feel safe and informed about options and pricing. She listens to needs, concerns, and also shared a little of her background that reassured us that we are in good hands. It turns out Lucy is from 4 generations of Funeral Home care, and you could tell with her tactful demeanor. She even shared some anecdotes that explained that there’s no wrong way to do things, and that whatever we wanted was the perfect thing to do. We had it in our minds to tour 3 different funeral homes, but after meeting with Lucy, decided we wanted our loved one in their care and didn’t need to see more places.Misencik is a comfortable place with a sizable visitation room that held a very large number of family and friends. There are other sitting areas as well for those who might have a harder time seeing their passed loved one, but still want to be present. There’s also a small lounge in the front where they had a fresh brewed pot of coffee with all the sweeteners and cream, and a fresh water dispenser. They also keep plenty of tissues throughout which is very helpful.When Bill realized our turnout was bigger than expected, he started bringing out more seating, cracking some jokes to my relatives and bringing smiles.Bill is a rockstar! My mom and I may have been a tad neurotic at times during the planning and leading up to the day, needing to check details to make sure this important event was going to honor our loved one the best way possible. He is very understanding and allowed us the opportunity to check in, in ways that reassured us. Bill was very available and compassionate to our concerns. My mom and I really appreciate Bill’s levity in some instances when we really needed it. Bill and Lucy just have this ability to read people and situations, and knew when humor could be appropriate and that we were receptive to it.Our loved one was prepared and presented respectfully and beautifully. It’s hard to describe, but seeing him so peaceful was a remedy for the unfortunate way he passed. It helped us feel better closure.I couldn’t imagine having a better experience, considering the circumstances. I actually had guests say to me afterwards “this was the best funeral I’ve been to” which might be a bit odd because funerals are not fun. But I’m in complete agreement. My family, friends, and Misencik funeral home really co-created an incredible, sacred, beautiful send off for our loved one that authentically conveyed his funny, loving spirit. “Absolutely wonderful to work with and Dave was great. I live in Texas and was not able to go into their show room for a face to face meeting to design a headstone for my grandmother. So we were able to set up a time and do a Zoom meeting instead which worked out perfect. Dave was able to answer all my questions and help guide me a bit on exactly what I had in mind. The zoom meeting was so much easier and faster than if we were going to try and do it over phone and email. This way I was able to see in real time exactly how changing certain things made it look better or worse and no back and forth with emails to see changes. I could see this as a great option even if you did live in the area, but weren't able to make it in due to a tight schedule or health issues etc.. Its a really simple and painless process that can be done on your phone or on a computer with the zoom app and doesn't cost a thing so even better. “The nasty reviews are misleading. The cemetery is clean and majority of the graves are as well. With Ohio's wet weather and overall natural conditions, I would anticipate sinking and groundwater being an issue with the weight in the earth. It's minimal and it IS near the lake, afterall. Dad's grave is clean after nearly 20 years and I am endlessly grateful. Thank you (especially the nice office lady!)“

“I honestly don’t know where to begin.. I lost my best friend very suddenly. My mom, my everything. A. Ripepi & sons made our time so say goodbye absolutely beautiful. I was a total wreck from the very beginning and Taylor who we first met to start the arrangements calmed me down with his soft approach and his knowledge of what needed to get done. He is a very professional young man. Taylor went above and beyond helping us, by coming in on his day off to make sure my moms final arrangements were perfect and beautiful. I met chuck who allowed me to see my mother to make sure she looked beautiful and help me with changes to bring comfort to us. Taylor made sure our slide show worked perfect before the funeral so nothing went wrong. They are professional, yet comforting when you need it the most.
