Wonderful, friendly, fast, personal and reasonably priced computer services. Dale truly is a Computer Wizard. He has transferred tricky data from old laptops to new ones for us on two ocassions with excellent results. I highly recommend Computer Wizard!

First let me say that Dale never asked me to write a review (so many businesses do!) In fact I had to sort of force him to tell me where he preferred a review posted. He actually said Angie's List, but since I don't have an account there I'm posting here. I found Dale by googling "Data Recovery Columbus Ohio." Unlike most of his clients, I was not a word of mouth client. I was a little apprehensive about trusting a one man operation when it came to my data, but once I got quotes from surrounding businesses I realized he really was my only affordable choice. He responded to my email immediately, and told me my hard drive was likely suffering from "Stiction" (I had dropped my hard drive and it refused to boot up, making a sad beeping sound instead)- he answered my follow up questions and gave me a ball-park quote of $200-$500 (National aka ship away companies and Best Buy had quotes that started at $1000 for anything involving physically opening up the drive). And he was upfront about his capabilities when it came to data recovery (his reduced prices reflect this). In the end I decided to trust my gut and give Dale a try. My data is precious, but being in the middle of the COVID-19 economic fall out, my resources are very strained. Dale recovered the drive in 24 hours from when I dropped it off with him - he emailed me a file list snapshot to confirm the data. He was professional and fast and fully recovered my drive. And he ended up charging me closer to the lower end of his quote! I did give him my own "target" drive where he could dump the recovered data. But he has drives he can sell you if you don't have an extra one laying around. If you're anywhere in the Columbus area - I recommend giving Dale a try. He's honest and fast. (One last note, because of the current situation with COVID-19, Dale and I did "contactless" interaction - it was easy and completely safe).
