We are a family of 5. Our water heater died and I called some guy a friend recommended. He came out and took a look and quickly said I had two options.....spend $650 to replace the whole burner assembly or replace the whole unit for $1,700. Not I'm not sure about you, but there is never a great time to spend $1,700 on an expense you didn't see coming, especially just before vacation. I thought maybe I should get a second opinion. So I went to website of the manufacturer of my hot water heater and found Tim's contact info. I explained the situation to Tim and he quickly said that he thought the issue was an inexpensive $10 part that needed replaced. Going into a holiday...read full review
