About The Village Vet

The Village Vet offers routine and emergency veterinary care from experienced professionals. The staff at The Village Vet have provided great care for customers' pets, including Swanson. Dr. O'Desky, the veterinarian, has treated Swanson very well since he was adopted. Whenever the customer called with an issue, Dr. O'Desky made room to see Swanson right away if she felt it was necessary. Three years ago, she properly diagnosed Swanson's heart condition and was able to give him and the customer an additional 3 great years together. Dr. O'Desky prescribed the right medications and even offered deals on some of the more expensive ones. Unfortunately, Swanson's time came, and the customer had a good conversation with Dr. O'Desky about it. Along with Chris and the other employees, they were compassionate and helped the customer through the difficult process. When it was time for Swanson to be "put to sleep," Chris scheduled the appointment for the end of the day so the customer could have privacy. The staff assisted in carrying Swanson to the exam table, which was covered in a soft red blanket with tissues nearby, and they had a candle lit in the lobby. They gave the customer and Swanson all the time they needed, and the staff was incredibly compassionate, with not just the customer, but everyone, in tears. The customer understands that The Village Vet is a small-town veterinary clinic, not a large facility in the city with multiple vets. Their experience was very different from the negative reviews, and they find Dr. O'Desky to be a seasoned veterinarian who clearly prioritizes the pets. She provides direct advice and recommendations, and the customer has trusted her judgment since meeting her, as she has never steered them wrong. Overall, the customer highly recommends The Village Vet.

The ladies at the Village Vet have done great for my buddy, Swanson.Swanson met Dr. O'Desky shortly after he was adopted and treated him very well. Every time I called with an issue, she was able to make room to get him in if she felt it was a situation where he needed to be seen right away. She properly diagnosed his heart condition 3 years ago, and was able to get Swanson and I a great 3 additional years together. Between her, Chris, and the other employees, they were compassionate and helped me through the process. A few days ago, Swanson indicated that it was time for him to go and I scheduled an appointment for him to be "put to sleep." Chris got me in the same day, and scheduled me at the end of the day after all other customers had left. When I arrived they assisted with carrying Swanson to the exam table which was covered in a soft red blanket with tissues nearby, they also had a candle lit for us in the lobby. The staff gave us all the time we needed and allowed me to stay with Swanson until he passed away peacefully. The staff was incredibly compassionate and I wasn't the only one in tears. I think reviewers need to understand that the Village Vet is a small town vet clinic. This isn't some large facility in the city that has multiple vets on staff. My experience was nothing like the other reviewers. To me Dr. O'Desky is a seasoned veterinarian and when you walk in it's clear that your pet is number one. She offers very direct advice and recommendations. I have taken her for her word since I met her and she has never steered me wrong. I highly recommend the Village Vet.
