This company agreed to install a sink and faucet in the basement. They began the job but needed to come back to hook the sink to the drain line. Twice now we have a set appointment and they have either not shown up or cancelled. Today the said that they were not coming because they no longer do repairs hung up when I questioned how they could not finish a job. Very unprofessional leaving us now to find a plumber to finish the mess they left. I should have believed the other bad reviews.
Update - I greatly appreciated hearing from the owner regarding my feedback. I'll call to give another shot when my next project comes up. Thanks for taking the time to read my review and address my experience. I called Ohio Plumbing on a Friday and needed a dishwasher installed as quickly as possible. They scheduled me for Saturday between 7:30am - 9:30am. I would consider this a favor being the quick turn-around. I started getting worried at 9:00 when I didn't receive the 30 minute call in advance they said I would get. So I called them to make sure there were no problems. I got a call back from the actual plumber who told me he was given the wrong address and the wrong phone number to contact me. I'm ok with people cancelling but I'm not ok with never receiving a call. What started out as a favor ended up being rude and disre NO CALL, NO SHOW. NO MORE BUSINESS FROM ME.
I used Ohio plumbing in the past and they completed the work well. I decided to hire them to replace my sewer line. On March 17, 2018 I signed a contract for a set amount. The following week they came for the dig and were unable to locate the line. I was told I must have been incorrect about the location of the line. They then stated they would need an additional $1200 to locate the line and redig. It was in April that I contacted the county to see what was going on. They responded that they were waiting for Ohio plumbing to turn in necessary paperwork. In the middle of April, I asked to speak to the owner about why the job was not getting started. I received no return call. The contractor contacted OOPS who marked the lines except sewer. I had been in contact with my city as well. In the beginning of May, my city agreed to come out and mark the sewer line. I had been told since the beginning of April that my line was going to be started at the beginning of each week. At one point, the office manager Melissa stated she felt awful for the length of time it was taking and offered a 10% discount. Once the dig began, ( 7 1/2 weeks later) I had my retired father supervise the work. They stated the job was more than they thought and demanded two thousand more. If they did not receive the money they would have filled the hole and walked away. This is after they broke the water line and lay it beside the house. Since March 17, I was told to use the sewer and water line lightly. I stopped using my garbage disposal and limited my laundry washings. In March, when the sewage line could not be snaked I was without the use of plumbing. If I did not have local family, I would have been forced to stay at a hotel. The water main break again forced me to stay with family and not have running water along with plumbing. While Melissa appeared to be sympathetic, when asked by the owner, Jim, if she did offer the discount, she emphatically denied the claim. However, on their website, they state that they offer a 10% discount to all returning customers. I was told that on Wednesday, May 16, the job was complete. Imagine my horror, when I came home and saw the yard as it is in the pictures, the bricks, smashed and compacted into the ground, the fence resting on support that a strong wind would knock down, piles of rock scattered all over the yard, mounds of rock on either end of the dirt pile, muddy steps to the basement and floor. I left a message about the grievances I had. On Thursday, May 17, during the day, the contractor Todd and some of his workers came out to address the problems. The later pictures show the repairs made. I spoke to the owner later that day. I asked for $1000 to be refunded since the two thousand was for the additional two days. Since it took one day, I felt it was a fair request. This when the owner, Jim, became disrespectful and belligerent. He originally called to see that the requested grievances had been completed to my satisfaction. As I was at work, I was unable to know if the grievances had been fixed. Jim stated that he would send Todd to collect the money. Todd has been the original plumber on numerous other jobs at the residence. Jim threatened me and stated he would come to my house and get the money no matter what. If I didn't pay he would take me to court. I stated that the job was still incomplete and once the final rocks were removed, I would forgive the bricks and filthy basement. When Jim started shouting awful things, I hung up on him. Todd asked why I hung up on Jim to which I replied he was being so disrespectful that no one deserved to listen to that. Meanwhile, Todd called my dad. When my dad returned his call, Todd became belligerent to him. The level of unprofessionalism in this company is unbelievable. Jim insulted my profession, made assumptions about my political beliefs. I would never hire this company again and warn others to do the same. I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau, I spoke to my local police department for fear of the threats made by Jim and am speaking w
