Went to the emergency room here last night with chest pains. They got me in quickly. I was emotionally distressed too, but the nurse was the kindest girl in the world and made me feel so much better. Thank you so much, it meant a lot to me. The doctor that attended to me after and read me my ekg was also kind and explained everythjng to me i needed to know about my old abnormal reading and my new reading. Thank you both for making me feel safe and helping me.
The problem with this ER is inconsistent care. I’ve had great doctors and nurses and absolutely incompetent ones. My last visit I had a triage nurse break my HIPAA privacy by yelling in the waiting room, “Sir, what are your symptoms?” Another time I was sent home with no antibiotics with an infection, because all the doctor looked at was my WBC count. Thank God my doctor caught it. On the other hand, I had a doctor’s diagnosis save my life. And I recently had a great doctor who explained all of my bloodwork to me.
Flower Hospital has been wonderful everytime we've been there. The entire staff is friendly, welcome and concerned with helping us in everything we need. The doctors took time to explain things to us and answered all our questions. My first choice of hospitals here.
