Called and made a first visit appointment. Took half day off work. Received email from them confirming my appointment. Arrived and was told my appointment had been cancelled because they called the day before to confirm and couldn't reach me. The person I made the appointment with wrote my phone number down wrong. They could have emailed me! I gave them all my info when I made the appointment including insurance information. Why would you cancel the appointment???? Did not get any apologies from front desk or a call from an office manager. Definitely will look elsewhere for some good old fashion customer service.

I was referred to this office by a coworker who has been a patient for years. After the great recommendation from my coworker I thought I'd give Dr Layman a try. Dr Layman is amazing in his knowledge and owns anything he feels isn't right w his work. By far an outstanding provider. Unfortunately I don't know all the staff names, to name them all. The office manager seems to be well versed in how to handle any issues when she's there, however it's questionable about some of the other office staff. There always seems to be some confusion. For example: after coming twice they thought I was a new pt again and tried to have me fill out new pt forms. I already had a temp crown in my mouth so I'm pretty sure I was there before. They didn't collect any information on my son for his apt and didn't know who's child he was, but they had him down as an apt. They didn't do a reminder call/text etc for his apt. I called and left a message to be sure if date/time but no one called me back. Luckily I found my apt card. I live an hour away so I really don't want to drive that far if there's no apt. Diana ( dental Hygienist) said that only Dr Cacola was working today. I told her I lived an hour away so apts same day w my son would be better. She wanted me to know she drove an hour to work everyday. I explained that I have to leave work and get my son out of school w an hour drive so it's best if we don't have to miss a lot of school/work, but I scheduled him on spring break to cut down taking time off. There was a lot of confusion when I scheduled my first appointment as I was scheduled with one provider (Dr Caloca) but then they called me telling me that provided didn't accept my insurance.I thought ok, no problem. So I'll see Dr Layman. But then I asked my coworker which provided he sees and he said both. And we have the same exact insurance. Well.... Ok.... Maybe they other provider didn't want to deal w my issue. It's fine. However, when I schedule my son an apt I realize after I got there with my son they scheduled him with Dr Caloca. So I ask does Dr Caloca take my insurance because my son is on my insurance too and I was told she doesn't per a phone call.Diana (dental hygienist) tells me they had some issues last week with insurances but got it all taken care of. The thing is I made these apts more then a month ago. I spoke with Erin (billing?) she said she'd look into it to verify, but that there are on call staff. I asked if the on call staff calls to change apts because I didn't call on call services. She told me no.Then Diana told me that it's weird I told her about the insurance coverage because both the providers are in practice together and would not practice together if they didn't take the same insurance.I'm happy with the hygienist (which I don't know her name) that cares for me and with Dr Layman care, but I feel like owing what mistakes you make is better customer service than trying to cover them up. I'm fine with a " sorry we messed up, or the other provider didn't feel like seeing you due to the issues you were having" that's fine w me. But when you cover up and lie about mistakes you lose trust from the pt. I think if they had some a different staff it would an amazing dental office. I suppose every work place has a few staff that aren't aware how their actions reflect on the business they're providing.

My husband goes here and suggested I call when I needed an emergency visit. I am so glad he did because Dr. Elisa Caloca is so sweet, kind, compassionate and just an amazing soul to be around, including her assistants. I immediately felt welcomed and taken good care of. Dr. Elisa Caloca makes you feel like family and just has this beautiful vibe, you feel like you've known her forever. I don't like dentist offices because my experiences in the past were cold and rough. This place is calming, warm and friendly. I've even suggested to my family who lives 25 minutes plus away from me to change their dentist to Dr. Elisa Caloca. She's taking great care of me! Grateful she stopped my infection before it had gotten much worse. Looking forward to more work with her in the future. Thank you Dr. Elisa Caloca!!! Tammy
