These people that work there are uncaring, rude and think they work at Mayo Clinic. Care quality is a thing of the past there. Had two different doctors, Timothy Cutler and Matthew Widmer and never took the time to focus on their clients. One didn't care about the pills he gave me and the other was never there! I used to trust my doctors before I came here but not anymore! They were more worried about getting you in and out! It so sad when you cannot trust them anymore! Don't pick a new doctor but check any doctor BEFORE you go there. The assistant that called in my pills of the one doctor never to this day got it right! I guess Fireland's doesn't care about proper training and bedside manner - for help and doctors - I could write a book - ITS AWFUL!
I usually have a decent experience when going to any medical facility for any reason, but this review is coming after I had the opportunity to clear my head, and I am still irritated by this experience. The main issue that was caused was I went in along with my daughter, for her to have a physical, but I could not find my benefits card that I normally use to pay for medical.. anything. I deduced either my purse had flipped over in my bedroom onto the floor and I hadn't picked up everything before leaving out or I left it at the drug store. So once I discovered that I didn't have the card I wanted to use, I quickly figured I was going to have to come out of pocket, so I stepped outside and placed what I thought would be a quick call to the local drug store, the last place I used the card. Turned out to be a longer than normal call. I noticed when I was on hold, I returned inside the medical facility where my daughter was getting her physical, and it was at that time, the health care provider (hcp) came out of the exam room asking if I was still taking care of my issue and went into the other room where a nurse was. So, no big deal. I could see they had already spoken about my card situation while I was outside on hold. So I hung up, left out of the facility, and called the mart right back, where I was immediately met with "We are still looking ma'am" and placed me on hold again. I thought well they don't have it, I know payment has to come out of pocket, let's call my benefits provider to be sure I can get reimbursed, and that is when I went in again. Keeping in mind, the hcp, had already come out, with my daughter still in the exam room by herself, and that's when I asked, is the exam still going on to which I was told no, we are just keeping her in the room until you pay..... WHAT?! That's when I got concerned. I told them, if the exam is over, then let her out no need to keep my daughter in the room after the exam is over. And the provider was like, ok. I thought that was the end of it, but then an argument ensued which I told them the business part is on me now, not with my child and showed her my cc. I thought the way they handled that was totally unprofessional, which led to an argument because I told her that was wrong to keep a child ( hostage) in the room, and to actually tell the parent that 's what you are doing, which is something she would have never allowed me to have done with her child! Because it is wrong to do! Also, the other lady who, was a nurse, jumped into it just added to the problem. Oh, the theatrics. Instead of looking like professionals, this was just out of control. I had to just ignore further comments coming from the back room where they both were. But I can say the receptionist who provided us conversation, was nice.
Had a really great experience here while we were visiting the area on vacation. On day 2 of our weeklong trip my younger son had a bike accident and did some major damage to his foot. I only had the bare minimum first aid supplies and was not prepared to deal with this level of injury, so off to Urgent Care we went. My son, who is 8, was in tears, not just because he was in a lot of pain, but he was fearful that the rest of the vacation would be ruined. This Urgent Care facility is very nice and the staff at the front were great. The doctor, who happened to be out front as we arrived, insisted that we come back to the treatment room immediately and said we could deal with registration and paperwork afterwards. I really appreciated this! He along with the nurses, were very kind and gentle with my son. I was extremely satisfied with the treatment my son received and the follow-up instructions given to us. We were in and out quickly, and back to having fun.
