I am not giving this review based on her expertise as a hair stylist but her character as a human. I had made an appt one day and a half prior to my appointment. I thought when I made the appointment there was a 24 hour cancel notice but it was 48 hours. now how can I cancel within 48 hours if I did not have an appt two days before my appointment is my first question and secondly I did give her 24 hours notice by TEXT message as the message I received if I needed to get in contact, thinking this was the most courteous way to cancel and explain my reason. Ms Miranda did not respond so I looked at the Salong Lofts website , when I was finally able to get on it and saw my appointment was still on her schedule so I canceled it. well within minutes I get an email about she is charging me $20 blah blah blah. A few things to note here her schedule was wide open so me cancelling should not have affected other customers from getting in to see her and 24 hours is reasonable and customary. She must've been burned several times before but my situation was legitimate, and I understand everyone probably makes up stories and thinks their reason is valid but one thing I don't do is lie to get out of an appointment nor have I ever been charged for cancelling in the past, even with a stated policy because I only cancel if there's a dire reason. My reason without getting too personal is I had a friend I've known for almost 10 years commit suicide due to PTSD from the Iraq and Afghan wars. Now granted I didn't feel I needed to tell her all that because it's none of her business but judging by the type of person she is it would not have mattered. Give you patronage to those who genuinely care about others and that is a decent person. lastly, I apologize for spelling errors or punctuation etc It was not allowing me to correct without deleting the post and starting over.Summer at Kenneth's does a great job and there are no cancel fees. Kenneth's stylists can be tough to get into but their customer service is unmatched. Pay a little more to get great service. I'm interested to see if Ms Griffith has a rebuttal so you all can see what type of person she is the way you treat others and react to things says a lot.
