So I have personally been going to Maumee Bay for a few years, when it was time for my son to get contacts it was a no brainer. This time around was different than the years before, even scheduling was hard and normally its not like that, experience was different also seemed like some of the staff was new and not knowledgeable it just seemed really different but not in a good way.
Recieved a text today at 4:12 informing me that my daughters glasses were ready. Google says they close at 5pm on Friday, yet their door said they closed at 3:30?! The. The website says they close at 4. This is extremely disrespectful to patients and their time. How are you going to text me after you close? Change your Google patient hours to match your office hours. This was entirely disappointing, and I wasn't the only one it happened to today, March 21, 2025.
Edit: There was even an email sent with hours stating they closed at 5PM. Disappointing.
I had the best experience at this location. I was able to get an appointment quickly, which was great since I lost my glasses. The optometrist Dr. John Lovas is a very friendly & knowledgeable man. He reassured me about some concerns I had about my eyes and you can just tell he loves what he does. They have such a great reasonably priced selection of glasses. The woman that helped me with my order and helped figure out what my insurance covered was also very nice. I cannot wait until my new glasses come in and I just couldn’t wait to leave a review for, in my opinion, best eye doctor in Ohio!
