I recommend Dr. Shahinfar and Dr. Blausey, 18 years ago they did my LASIK surgery. In 2024 I had cataract surgery by Dr. Shahinfar and my left eye went perfectly, now my right eye not so good because having LASIK years ago can change the measurements of your cornea, so l had 20/50 vision. Dr. Blausey said they can fix it with PRK surgery but I had to wait until my completely healed, approximately 3 months. Dr. Shahinfar did my PRK surgery and when I went in for my check up, my vision was not much better 20/40, but eyes take time to heal, I was very frustrated. Today I told Dr. Blausey that if I was capable I would do a flip off of this chair, because when the best staff member, HEATHER, checked my eyes and I told her I could see and she started with 20/40, 20/35 and so on to 20/20, HEATHER said wait a minute and put up the 20/15 and I read that line! Meibo eye drops helped bring my cornea back from being dry. I am very thankful and grateful for Bloomberg, I’m sorry for being frustrated at times, I’ve been going to them for 20 years and I trust them.
I went in for a free consult, they encouraged me to try out contact lenses for monovision. It didn't feel like pressure at all. I did the contact, then returned for lasix. They offered medication to relax you if you feel like you would have anxiety. The procedure was so quick, literally less than 5 minutes. There was no pain, I didn't even think it was uncomfortable as others have reported. Maybe a bit awkward as they place the suction on your eyes. But there is no pain. Others have said that lasix is scary, and I really didn't feel that way at all, I guess there is a moment when you get under the laser and you have no idea what to expect or if you will feel anything. But the bladeless laser cuts your cornea, and they switch you over the lasix is like 30 seconds. Then they put drops in and send you on your way. Your vision is instantly different. I didn't experience the light sensitivity people talk about. Also people have said they were miserable after the surgery. I will say about an hour after, I just kept my eye closed, because it was watering so much, since they gave me medicine it made me tired, so I did take a nap, during that time it did feel irritable scratchy and watery. Then woke up and like night and day felt like almost nothing had happened. They have you wear the guard at night and have to put some drops in but you are literally back up and running the following day. It is honestly amazing. The staff were kind and courteous. I think the price was extremely reasonable, and ended up being 100 less than they originally quoted me. So I could not be more pleased. Would recommend this 100%.
