Wow, these people need some edjumication. In a three way phone call, they said they wouldn't offer a self pay discount, "because I have a Christian Healthcare Ministries cost sharing plan, which is considered insurance." THEY'RE A NON-PROFIT! Best advice, stay the hell out of the Kettering Network.
There is a reason this place has horrible ratings. The bill has a web address to go to that is supposed to let you pay your bill on line...it doesn't work and neither does the 24 hour phone line. I called the office line and spoke with Janice who was not helpful and said that she too is unable to take a payment and that the system has been down for a while. The only way to pay is to mail in a check. Seriously dissatisfied with this places billing practices and unfortunately you have no choice if you go to Kettering Health ER! I guess my only choice is not go to Kettering Health and that is a shame because I do like the hospital.
Worst experience I have ever received from medical billing. My bill was not fully processed through insurance as I received and "error" denial. I was sent to collections after 3.5 months and 2 letters, with very little information or explanation that this was tied to Kettering Health, that I was told not to pay from insurance due to the fact the bill was not final.When I called to get some explanation, they told me I had to pay in full immediately for this to be paid to collections. Luckily, collections has been pleasant to work with and has helped me by putting this on pause until insurance has actually processed the bill.
