These people are not tax professionals, they don’t have any idea what a 1099 is let alone how to do it, they just gave up and sent me everything back, would not help at all , big waste of time, went somewhere else- no problems - if you have a 1099 don’t go there

I searched for local tax preparers that had experience with independent truck driver tax knowledge. Called and was convinced that they could do the job. I sent in my records and forms. They communicated via phone, text and email, capturing all to properly avoid any miscommunication.I went to pick up the completed tax work. Everything was ready for filing. They even e-filed my federal and state returns.My copy was professionally bounded and this year's requirements/estimates noted.Totally satisfied with the work, communication and fee.

I explained my status in detail, and was told they prepare many the same in my occupation. I was quoted a price to prepare my taxes but, when I went to pay I was handed a sealed envelope with an invoice for $220.00 more than quote. I was willing to pay, I simply just wanted to know what made my preparation above original quote? After waiting about 10 minutes, the owner who billed this would not show to give me an explanation and I was told just to pay quoted price.
